Why is working with Advanced so much better than with other therapy job agencies?
Working with Advanced is better than working with other therapy job agencies because we have the ability and structure to market for individual needs. What does that mean? If you are a PT and you want HI, we will seek out opportunities for PT’s in HI instead of waiting for them to surface. However, our experienced recruiters will be truthful about the “odds” of this type of placement happening at any given point in your travel career and advise you appropriately. Did I mention we have the best recruiters around?
Should I work with multiple companies when trying to find a travel therapy assignment?
You are free to do as you please but your recruiter will explain to you that working with multiple agencies can potentially prohibit you from landing that perfect placement. If a client receives your profile from many agencies, they don’t have the time to go back to each agency and you to ask which company you prefer to work through. They will simply move on to the next candidate and you might not ever know if you would have been in the running for that particular job. Interview recruiters and agencies prior to submitting to any jobs. Pick one and go with it. We hope it will be Advanced! And make sure anyone who has your resume ALWAYS asks your permission to share it with anyone. That’s our policy here at Advanced.
What types of contract/travel assignments are available and how long are they?

What licenses do I need to have to work in a school?
This depends on the state and the district. Some schools simply need for you to have a state board license. Others will require a special teaching certificate. Don’t worry if the certificate takes a long time to be conferred as many schools/states will allow you to work with a pending teaching certificate! Your recruiter and QA specialist will serve as your guides when it comes to navigating licensure questions. We have the answers!
Why would I want to work in schools?
Longer contracts with far lower likelihoods of a notice. All those school holidays you looked forward to as a kid? You will get those days off while on contract with us!
Will I be working in one school building or many?
It depends on the opening. Sometimes a district has enough of a caseload in one building that you will be there for the course of your entire contract. Other districts may need you to float from one building to another. In situations where you need to float during the day, we will try to arrange for you to stay on the clock during the travel time from building to building.
What other reasons would I want to work in schools?
Remember that favorite teacher you had when you were in grade school. That could be you! The impact you have on these children is truly amazing. At the end of the school year, you will be looking forward to your next school assignment in the next amazing location.
Does working in a school pigeon hole me into only educational settings?
Of course not. We have many therapists who work in schools during the school year and then take medical assignments during the summer. The advantage to working with Advanced is that you have the ability to look at jobs in so many varied settings.
Are all your school jobs in super rural, out of the way areas?
Not at all. We see openings in all geographic areas. Sure, some of them are super rural or in quiet, out of the way towns. But other jobs exist in urban areas as well.
Benefits / Compensation
I'm not greedy but part of the reason I travel is the extra money I can make. Will I still qualify for travel stipends while on these longer assignments?

For instance, if you are a PT and you want Hawaii, we will seek out opportunities for PT’s in Hawaii instead of waiting for them to surface.
