Featured Travelers: Kylee & Jason!
What a better way to end April than by showing off not one but two of our amazing travelers! Our Featured Travelers for April are the awesome husband and wife duo, Kylee and Jason! Kylee is a travel nurse with our nursing division, Advanced Surgical, and Jason is a physical therapist. They were nominated by both their recruiters as they exemplify everything we look for in great travelers! They are passionate about their careers and really enjoy the travel lifestyle. They even have a wonderful blog called, A Traveler’s Adventure, where they chronicle their journey through various assignments. They have fantastic photos and insightful posts, so be sure to check it out to get a good look into the life of a travel nurse/therapist.
The 411 On Kylee & Jason
Why or how did you get into therapy/nursing? Jason was an athletic trainer and wanted to be able to help a wider range of people rather than just athletes. Kylee wanted to be in the medical field but wanted the flexibility of being a nurse. We both wanted to travel and wanted careers that would let us work and travel at the same time.
What are some of your hobbies? Our hobbies are going hiking, mountain biking and experiencing the new places we are living in. If we are near water, we love to paddleboard or go kayaking.
Favorite travel location and why? So far, we loved working in the Pacific Northwest. We worked in Vancouver and Spokane, WA and really enjoyed it. Washington had so many awesome trails plus you really can’t beat the views of the mountains.
Where would your dream assignment be? Our dream assignment would be to go to work in Hawaii. How many people can say they have worked in Hawaii? Plus we could pick up surfing as a new hobby.
Favorite book or movie? Our favorite books/movies would have to be any of the Harry Potter series. Listening to the books on audio tapes is a good way to pass the time while traveling.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why? Jason’s superpower would be able to fly because he could always get a good view and avoid traffic. Kylee’s would be to be able to turn anything into doughnuts.
We’re so thankful to have this dynamic duo as part of our family!
